Boilermakers manufacture, install and maintain boilers, tanks and vats. They must be able to read and understand technical drawings and be able to cast and bend metal into shape and weld the pieces together. you need to be able to Construct, assemble, maintain, and repair stationary steam boilers and boiler house auxiliaries. Align structures or plate sections to assemble boiler frame tanks or vats, following blueprints. Work involves the use of hand and power tools, plumb bobs, levels, wedges, dogs, or turnbuckles.
